Info View (Bank Window)

Purpose:

The Info View is a component of the Bank editor.

Whether it is displayed or not depends on the Show Info View setting in Preferences / Bank Edit and, it is only displayed when the bank editor is displayed in a Set window. Separate banks banks stored in Collections don't display the Info View.

The view displays information from the last patch that the mouse was placed over. In the case of the screen capture above, the mouse was over patch 3 Legato Strings.

The information that the view displays is 1/ parent child relationship information for the patch and 2/ the Properties assignments that have been made for the patch in the Settings dialog.

For patches that are part of a parent/child relationship, as this one is, the Info View will show any parent or child relationships between the banks. In the case of the example above, the Programs banks are children to  the Combi banks. The Info View shows that Legato Strings is referenced by 20 different Combis starting with My Baby's Asleep and ending with Harpsicord Suite. Below that are the properties which have been assigned to the patch in Settings. These include Tags, Author, Copyright, Song, Musician, Band, and Long Name. These are contains text information and can be used for storing almost any information (with the exception of tags). For more information on SysEx properties, click here.

Placing the mouse over a different patch in the bank will display the information relevant to that patch.
