Save Midi Quest Setup Information... (Studio Window)
This option creates a text file on disk called "MQStudioDescription.<serial#>.txt". The file is created in the root folder where Midi Quest files are stored (folder locations listed below). It is intended to provide Sound Quest with general information on Midi Quest's setup including:
Name
Serial Number
Platform (Mac or Windows)
Basic program paths
Patch bay status
MIDI IN ports
MIDI OUT ports
Installed Instruments
Loaded Instruments
Settings for each loaded instrument
Critical Preferences settings
Basic Window creation information
When providing tech support, Sound Quest may request that this file to created and emailed. It provides a good overview of the program's setup and should assist in solving program problems, particularly communication issues.
Sound Quest is always interested in receiving information on MIDI hardware configurations. It helps us to know what hardware is commonly being used. If you are willing to provide us with this information, feel free to create this file at any time and email it to us.
Directions:
To create the MQStudioDescription file:
1. Choose Studio / Save Midi Quest Setup Information
2. Find the file on the hard drive using the default file location information
3. Email the information to Sound Quest at midiquestsupport@soundquest.org
