IconEdit Name Entry (Panel Edit)

Purpose:

This function was added to add in converting editors created in Midi Quest 8 or earlier for Midi Quest 10. As a result, it is unlikely that you will require its use.

This option is used to alter the name of the selected controls. It can add to or replace the current text in the editor.

Directions:

To assign new text to a control's Name parameter:

1.Choose Editor/Panel Edit Enable to place the Editor in Panel Edit mode
2.Select the controls which require modification to their name
3.Right click and choose Editor Fns/Name Entry from the popup menu
4.Complete the Set Control Name dialog and press the OK button
5.Panel Edit will modify or replace the name currently in each selected control

TQSetNam

This dialog is used to enter the additional text for each selected control and select how this text is utilized.

There are three possible options:

Replace: replaces the current text in each control with the text entered here
Prepend: adds the text entered here in front of the text already in the control's Name parameter
Append: adds the text entered here behind the text already in the control's Name parameter

Key Equivalent:

Shift+Ctrl+F

note: key equivalents will only work when the editor view has focus. If the panel editor has been used then the focus has been shifted and key equivalents will not work. Click the mouse in the editor view to reset the focus and enable key equivalents.
