Name and Help Editor (Panel Edit)

Purpose:

This menu item opens the a dialog that lists all of the controls by their name and help information.

The dialog allows control name and help text to be edited on a per control basis or a global search and replace can be applied..

The Name and Help String Editor Dialog

This dialog is displayed after selecting Name and Help Editor from the menus. It lists all of the controls in the editor by name.

To edit the name or help for a particular control, select the control in the list. The name and help information for that control is displayed in the text controls below the list. Any edits made here are immediately made to the selected control.

In addition, there are a series of search and replace options available in the lower right area of the dialog. Below "Search Text" enter the text to search for, below "Replace" enter the replacement text to enter when there is a match. Check "Name Strings" to perform the search and replace on the text name of each control. Check "Help String" to perform the search and replace on the help text of each control. Lastly, press the "Search and Replace" button to perform the Search and Replace.
