IconEdit Graphic Slider Custom Pane (Panel Edit)

TQ-Gslid

TQGSlide

Direction

specifies whether the slider works vertically or horizontally.

Bitmaps

The graphic slider is created using up to three different bitmaps. One bitmap is used to create the drag bar that is grabbed for editing. The other two bitmaps are used to fill the areas above and below the know in a vertical slider and to the left and right of the knob on a horizontal slider. Each of these three areas in the control is defined using the same three parameters.

Style

specifies whether the area is filled with a bitmap, a solid color, or is transparent (background).

Bitmap

If the Bitmap setting is selected in the Style option, the bitmap entry should contain a path to the bitmap to use. If no bitmap is specified, Midi Quest defaults to the bitmap specified in the Skin.

Bmp Transparent

When checked, the bitmap has a transparent color that is specified by the Transparent Color parameter.

Transparent Color

Transparent Color uses a standard Color Select Dialog to select and specify the color that is considered to be transparent in the bitmap

Rounding

When checked, the corners of the control are rounded.

Tiling

When a bitmap is used in the control, this parameter determines how the bitmap is displayed. The options are:

Skin - use the display style specified in the Skin currently used by the editor. The skin can specify a Stretched or Tiled style

Stretch Bitmap - stretch the bitmap to fill the control

Tile Bitmap - replicate the bitmap enough times to fill the control

Pop-up Style

When the value of the parameter is displayed as pop-up text, this parameter controls how the parameter is displayed. It works in conjunction with the Pop-up ID and Pop-up Offset parameters. There are four options:

Value - displays the parameter value numerically as it is stored internally in the SysEx

Percentage - instead of a specific value, the current parameter is displayed as a percentage of the given range

Control Link - the value is displayed using the another control as the display source. This is most common when controls are paired together, a slider which displays the value graphically and a String List which shows the value as displayed on the instrument. Select Control Link to use the display of the String List in the pop-up.

.ini File - the displayed value is taken from a StringList entry in the editor's .ini file

Pop-up ID

This parameter is used in conjunction with Pop-up Style and selects the item to use as the display source.

Control Link - when Pop-up Style is set to Control Link, Pop-up ID must contain the ID of the control to link to generate the text to display

.ini File - when Pop-up Style is set to .ini File, Pop-up ID must contain the number of the String List to access in the editor's .ini file

Pop-up Offset

is used in conjunction with Pop-up Style and sets a display offset if necessary to have the control display the correct value in the pop-up.

Control Link - when Pop-up Style is set to .ini File, Pop-up Offset must contain a value necessary to have the pop-up display the correct value. The Offset value is typically zero but other values may be required particularly if the value range of the SysEx parameter includes negative values

.ini File - when Pop-up Style is set to .ini File, Pop-up ID must contain an offset to properly access in the editor's .ini file

Embed Number

is checked to display the current value of the parameter in the slider's knob.

Embed Number Font Select

selects the font to use when displaying the current value of the control in the slider's knob. Any of the standard skin fonts may be selected.
