XML Name Server Preferences (Options Menu)
This page defines Midi Quest's midname XML name server.
Midi Quest Pro only
Name Servers allow Midi Quest to keep your sequencer's name lists in sync with your equipment automatically.
How does this work? For the new MMA XML standard, Midi Quest automatically updates the XML name descriptions read by sequencers. If you are using multiple applications that reference XML files in different locations, it is possible to specify up to 20 different folders that can be automatically updated with name information.
Configuring and Using the XML Name Server
To configure the XML Name Server:
| 1. | check "Enable XML Name Server" |
| 2. | Press the "Add..." button and a folder selector will appear |
| 3. | Use the folder selector to find the folder where XML name files are accessed by your application |
| 4. | Press the OK button |
| 5. | If you have multiple applications which read these files, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each application (maximum 20) |
That's all you have to do.
