Purpose: MIDI/Transmit is used to transmit the Patch in the Editor window. Each time an Editor Window is activated, the Patch is automatically sent to the instrument. This keeps the instrument "in sync" with the current Patch you are editing. This feature allows you to edit several Patches simultaneously without the instrument becoming confused. (This option can be disabled in the Preferences) Of course, if you use your instrument to make changes to your Patches without using your Editor, the instrument and Editor will be "out of sync". To correct this, you will need to resend the SysEx from the Editor to the instrument using MIDI/Transmit. Ctrl+alt+T: There is also an alternate option to this function. If the patch currently being edited came from a location in a bank the pressing Ctrl+alt+T will not only send the patch to the instrument's edit buffer, it also transmits the patch to the memory location in the bank. For this option to work, the instrument must support receiving individual patches from a bank. If the instrument only supports receiving full banks (eg. Yamaha DX7) then this feature is disabled.
Directions: To send the Patch in a Editor to the instrument:
